Obituary of Edna Marie Gauthier
Edna Marie Gauthier 90, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2016 in Stettler, Alberta. Edna was born in Plamondon, Alberta on July 8, 1926, the daughter of the late Felix and Caroline Belanger.
Edna was a loving mother of five children and devoted wife to her husband Joe of 67 years. She was the bookkeeper and school bus driver for their business in Fort McMurray. Edna always loved the warmer climate so she and Joe retired and moved to Kelowna, B.C. in 1977.
Edna had many hobbies and was passionate about them all. Baseball and curling in her early years, crafts, ceramics, gardening, crocheting and quilting she enjoyed and always made time for. Edna loved to sing and continued to share her music well into her later years.
Edna is survived by her children: Jerry (Peggy) Gauthier, Judy Docherty (Tim Crilly), Ken (Melanie) Gauthier, Tony Gauthier (Erin Winters), brothers Urban and Vernon; sister Ethel as well as her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years Joe Gauthier and her daughter Sandra Wygle.
Funeral Mass will be held at 12 Noon, January 14, 2017 at Christ-King Catholic Church, 4916 – 54 Street, Stettler Alberta.
