Hattie passed away suddenly on January 27, 2016 at the Stettler Hospital at the age of 76 years. Hattie married Jerry Reid on August 7, 1959 and to this union four children were born: Marilyn, Evan, Glen and Carol. While raising their family in Stettler, she worked at the Stettler Hospital as a cook for over 20 years. She also enjoyed gardening, quilting, oil painting and playing the organ. Shortly after Evan’s passing, Mom retired and spent her time with her seven grandkids and three great grandkids. Visiting family and coffee with friends were some of the highlights to her day. She loved her flower beds and gardening but she had back problems which made it harder to do, her granddaughter Lyndsay took over the planting and care of the garden which mom was so proud of her for. Hattie was a beautiful, loving, caring lady that will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. She leaves to mourn her loving family: children: Marilyn Reid (Brad Fawkes) of Stettler, Glen Reid of Swift Current and Carol Reid (Greg Spicer) of Forestburg; seven grandchildren: Lyndsay Dayman, Dustin Dayman, Morgan Dayman, Byron Reid, Stephanie Sideritsch, Nicole Sideritsch (Jayson Marshall) and Randal Sideritsch (Larissa Klinger); three great grandchildren: Tavis, Kinsley and Elizabeth; sisters and brothers: Margaret Burr, Shirley Schaedel, Bob (Ella) Seidlitz and Herman Seidlitz; sisters in law Doreen Thage and Ruth Hendrickson and Jean Seidlitz; other family members and many dear friends.
