Obituary of Henry Ejler Nielsen
Henry Nielsen was born in Castor, Alberta on February 6, 1930 and grew up in the Garden Plain district during the depression. He died surrounded by family on December 19, 2015 in Stettler.
Henry and his wife Irene farmed in the Garden Plain district for 49 years before retiring and moving to an acreage south of Stettler.
Henry was predeceased by his parents John and Ane Nielsen, his brother Elmer and his sister Eva. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Irene, and his children Kathy and her husband Doug Ray, Sheila and her husband Dave Rudisuela and their children Jeffrey and Jolene, Doug and his wife Calista and their children Dayna and Johnathan and Ken and Marilyn and his children Moriah and Michaela. He is also fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Doris and many nieces, nephews and cousins. His shop kitty Willis misses him too.
A funeral service will be held Monday, December 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church in Stettler, Alberta. Burial will be in the Hanna Cemetery that afternoon.
