Until Dad died this past June 14, 2019 in Ft. McMurray, I never knew how it felt to lose a father. Now I know. I want to tell you how much I loved and still love your Dad, Uncle Leslie. Mom revered and loved him; your Dad was part of your formative years. Of course, he was always at his best around our parents and us. A great story teller with those twinkling blue eyes. He was the last of an era. Likewise, my Dad was the end of his, as well. We stand tall, as these giants pass before us. Much love and prayers, Janet

Our thoughts are with the family at this time. Memories of Uncle Leslie will live long in my heart!! He was a man of joyous spirit, kindness and full of good stories. I am honored that my mother (Nelly) chose Leslie as one of my given names. No doubt he will be missed by everyone who knew him. He was an inspiration to all of us.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you, the family of Les, at this time of your loss. I clearly remember seeing your family at Our Lady of Peace Church in Big valley every Sunday. I also have fond memories of my family going for Sunday visits to the McBride's -
always a welcome treat!
Your Dad (and Mom) were always fun people with big, big hearts.
Blessings, Anita

The news of the passing of Uncle Les brings sadness to our family but we
know that there is a time for each of us and we will miss him greatly.
We will remember with a smile the times that he and Aunt Marguerite visited our home. He loved to go out to our garden and pick peas off the vine and eat them. He would get our young daughters chocolate bars from their motorhome. He spoke of his visits to our place many times in his later years when we would visit him in Stettler at his home. Unfortunately we are unable to be there with you to celebrate Uncle Leslie and his life but we are there in spirit and will always remember him with a smile.
