Obituary of "Kay" Violet Kathleen Scheerschmidt

On Monday, July 20, 2015, Kay Scheerschmidt of Stettler, Alberta passed away peacefully at the age of 82 years. Kay was born on Saturday, January 7, 1933 at Stettler, Alberta to parents Martha and Archie McKay. Kay is survived by her husband Louie; children Cathy, Donna, Sandra, and Brian (Carol); grandchildren Ryan (Sheri), Marsha (Ryan), Robbie, Danny, Kayla, Sarah, and Christian; great grandchildren Josh, Molly, Piper, Emma and Connor; sister Margaret; sisters-in-law Blanche and Louise; brother-in-law Jim and numerous nieces and nephews. Kay was predeceased by her parents Martha and Archie McKay; sons-in-law Rodney and Ivan; granddaughter Brittany; sisters Mary (Elmer), Belle (Dan), Nancy (Wilfred), Sara (Everett), Grace (Jack) and Betty; brothers Bill (Pearl), Charlie (Lorna), John (Kay) and Gerry; sisters-in-law Irene (Gene), Elaine and Dorothy; brothers-in-law Don, Chris and Hank (Ivy). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the Stettler Funeral Home with Reverend Lyn Lamers officiating. Interment took place at Lake View Cemetery, Stettler, Alberta.
