Craig Wellington posted a condolence
Thursday, September 23, 2021
Hi Kathy,Shane,Tami and Jason ,Jody ,Kevin and Kimberly. My name is Craig Wellington and I worked for Cody for a few months in 1992.I’m from New Zealand and found a business card in a drawer - Cody’s Snow Plowing and thought I must ring him it’s be 10 or 12 years since . We found this obituary -it’s be a sad day . I put your names down as I met you all and obviously lived at Cody’s house. Also did some work at Jim and Mary’s and I remember her lunches ! Loved working for Cody. Great memories. First impressions - John Deere’s even the old pickup bonnet was JD green. He was a fanatic and I loved it as I did the JDs as well . Going to work and Cody having a big thermal mug of coffee then calling in to someone’s house on way and getting another coffee and drinking the stuff all day ! Eating very little all day but some beef at night. Wanting to sneak off to the pub ( and not get in trouble ). Going with him and Shane ( his friend) to Regina fielday and young Kevin saying as we left Dad have you been to Vagina before and Cody deadpan ‘ oh once or twice son . Going to GreatFalls Montana to fly to Denver then home and Cody so excited going to casino and drinking Millar draft and odd rum . I loved my time with Cody and family and the farm and regret not staying much longer . I hoped to one day get back to Alberta ; it won’t quite be the same if I do without Cody. I hope you get or read this and be great to hear from someone to confirm this. Thanks Cody. All the best Boss and friend
