I have very fond memories of Harry Erickson, who was a cousin of my father, Cliff Carlstrom. I will always cherish my memory of visiting Harry and Leona at their home near Donalda, Alberta. I remember especially Harry as being a kind, gentle, and compassionate man who will be sorely missed.

Leona and family, We have just heard about Harry passing today. Am sorry we are late but hope you still get our message. We are sorry to hear such news about a good friend and neighbor but realize that life on earth only lasts for a short time for all of us. However we can rejoice in the fact that we know that those who love the Lord are assured of an eternity of peace and joy with him in heaven. Harry had that assurance. A good and faithful man. Like so many others I am saddened by the passing of Harry. I remember well the kindnesses shown by Harry and Leona to a young Banker whose first job and life off the farm began in Bashaw, just a short drive to your farm near Donalda. The kindness of Harry made those days much easier. Your warmth and hospitality has been most appreciated. Alice and I offer our most sincere condolences.

Special thoughts are with you in your loss of Harry. He had a wide circle of friends, and we count it a privilege to be numbered among them. We have many, many good memories! So saddened to hear of the news of Harry passing. But, I am hopeful he is resting comfortably now and is at peace. My heart is heavy for all of you he leaves behind. Wishing you all strength and comfort in the coming days, weeks and months. Please cherish all your fondest memories and he is sure to stay close in your hearts. Not surprizing, my first memories of Harry are at the old Hardware store in Donalda.... him and Dad could shoot the breeze for quite a time....a welcome break for both in their day!
