Obituary of Kelsey John James Douglas Last

It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of Kelsey John James Douglas Last, 24, of Red Deer, Alberta on January 3, 2014 as a result of injuries sustained on an oil rig near Edson, Alberta. He was born August 26, 1989 in Calgary, Alberta, the son of Fred and Carlene Last. He moved to Strathmore from Calgary when he was nine years old and earned his diploma from Strathmore High School. After graduation, he moved to Red Deer where he soon began a career on the oil rigs. Kelsey had a larger than life personality and made friends easily with his quirky sense of humor and desire to lend a hand to anyone that needed it. He had a passion for hunting, camping, quadding, Wok Box and anything covered in Heinz Ketchup. Kelsey recently fulfilled his dream of buying an acreage with a big shop for fixing his many toys. Kelsey is survived by his parents Fred Last (Kathy Nattestad) and Carlene Last (Tim Start), his sister Rheyanna, his brother Tim, his sister Danielle and their families, paternal grandmother Margaret Neuman and maternal grandfather Roy Duffus. Kelsey leaves behind the love of his life, Tiffany Johnston and her family, as well as many loving friends and extended family. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Word of Life Church, south end of Taylor Drive, on England Way, Red Deer, Alberta. Donations may be made to a fund for his beloved Tiffany to finish her education as a Psychiatric Nurse.
