Obituary of Janet "Nettie" Florence Wells

It is with sadness the family of Janet (Nettie) Florence Wells announces her passing on November 16, 2013 at the age of 85 years. Nettie was born in Lerwick, Shetland Islands on March 19, 1928. She travelled to Jasper, Alberta in the fall of 1947 to marry Ralph Frank Wells on October 31, 1947 where they resided until moving to Bashaw in 1964. Nettie was predeceased by her husband Ralph in 1988. Nettie leaves to mourn and will be fondly remembered by her children, Frank (Diane), Clinton (Jan) and Jane (Del). Nettie will be sadly missed by her brother Bennie (Margaret) who reside in Shetland. She is also survived by: Frank’s Children: Mark (Carmen) and daughter Inez; Christine (Travis), their children, Tessa. Aleesa and Ben; Alison (Aaron) and sons, Corbin and Tyson; Rochelle and sons, Dayton, Curtis, Ryan and Jared; Andre (Tanya) and children, Alicia and Heyden; Clinton’s Step-Children: Debbie (Doug) and Kristy (Travis) and their son, Tucker Jane’s Children and Step–children: Jeffrey (Nicole); Jennifer (Darren) their daughters, Olivia and Abigail; Daniel (Robyn) their daughters Janeva and Bronwynn; Steven (Stacey) their sons Riley and Noah; Rhondel (Dustin), their sons Liam and Maxim; Justin (Cheryl) and son Evan. Many nieces and nephews and their children, in Shetland, Australia and Alberta will also remember Nettie for her generous spirit and the love she had for all her extended family. She left her family and friends with many rich memories. Funeral Services for the late Mrs. Nettie Wells will be held on Thursday, Nov. 21 2013 at 1:30 PM at the Heartland Chapel of Stettler Funeral Home. Memorial donations gratefully accepted to a charity of choice.
