Dear Irwin Family, God Bless you and be with you during this very difficult time. Words cannot express how sorry I am for your loss. I didn't learn of Don's passing until I read it in the paper and my heart sunk and it remains heavy today. I worked with Don for a few years about 14 years ago around Strathmore and thought the world of him. I admired Don for his keen technical knowledge, strong work ethic, and fairness and honesty towards the people he worked with. Don was a strong man with great character and unquestionable integrity. He was a joy to work with and a good friend. I learned a lot from Don and am proud to have known such a great man and called him friend. I will be forever sorry I didn't make more of an effort to stay in touch. God Bless you Don, you were a great man. May God be with your family always and give them comfort, strength, and understanding. I will always remember you with respect and admiration.

I am so sorry to hear about Don. Don,John & I were best friends in school and we grew apart with our lives. I always thought Don & I were closer than John & I were. Sheila I don't know if you remember the last time Donna & I visited you guys, Don said something to me that day that I will never forget, He said to me "not to take so long next time". Now I wish I would have tried harder to find you. I will miss him dearly.

I want to express my sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the Irwin Family. Don was one the most wonderful persons I had ever got to know and work with. I appreciated his friendship and will a have heavy heart and sorrly will miss him dearly!! He was one the most caring, kind and intelligent persons that I have ever had the chance to meet in my life. I wish I could have stayed in touch more in the last few months. If I can develop to become the half the caring and kind person that Don was I would consider life a success. To the entire Irwin Family, I was very saddened to hear about the passing of Don. Unfortunately, I hadn't talked to Don for many years. I will always have fond memories of the times spent with Don and John during high school. I remember the extreme pride he took with his vehicles, especially the Monte Carlo. It was always spotless, and shining from one end to the other. Don was a hard worker, and was always 100 % dedicated to the task at hand. He was a loyal friend, and will be missed. This a sad day as I have just learned of Don's passing. My deepest sympathy to Sheila and your family, John and your family. Although over the past 15 yrs or so I had only seen Don a couple occasions, when I did, we spoke as if no time had passed and would just pick up where we left off. It was always like that between he and I, and I suspect it was the same for all his friends. I always admired him for his attention to detail and intellect with whatever he was doing at the time, work,music,stereo's, cars, track n field, everything he did. God Bless Rick
