Aron Keith James
1975-2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Aron James. He passed away peacefully at Our Lady of the Rosary Hospital in Castor with his wife, Terra and mom, Judy by his side.
Aron Keith James was born in Coronation, Alberta on October 17, 1975 to Trevor and Judy James, the oldest of two boys. Aron was raised on the James farm, east of Castor. His early years were spent working on the farm, dirt biking, playing hockey, 4H, skiing and team roping.
Aron attended Gus Wetter School in Castor where he graduated in 1993. He then went on to apprentice with Coronation farm equipment and completed his heavy duty mechanic ticket. He then started in the Oil Patch soon after. He started his own oilfield company Teron Enterprises in 2000.
Aron married his high school sweetheart Terra Jamieson August 16, 1997. They moved a house out to the family farm that fall and enjoyed their time together before starting their family. They welcomed Cade on January 3, 2003. Then Codi arrived on January 6, 2005, with Cort arriving soon after on January 25, 2007. As a proud papa he always had time for his kids. Aron spent many hours roping in their outdoor arena with all the kids. They made many miles taking them to hockey games and rodeos travelling as a family most of the time to these events. He taught them the work had to be done before it was time to play. He was very proud of all of their accomplishments. If he couldn’t be there, he loved to listen to their play by play re-capping their days events when they got home. They did many family holidays, but the kids absolute favorite was their yearly trips to the Ya-Ha Tinda.
Aron enjoyed life to the fullest and savored every moment with his friends and family, whether at a branding or just hanging out in the shop having happy hour. He played hard but he worked harder.
Aron, Terra and kids have worked hard to build the family farm and have always been passionate about the land and the cattle. Over the years they have harvested many fields with friends and family, branded too many cattle to count, cooked meals to feed the masses and enjoyed every minute of it.
Aron leaves to mourn his passing, his loving and devoted wife, Terra, his son Cade, daughter Codi and son Cort. His parents, Judy and Trevor James, brother Neal and his wife Lori, father and mother-in-law Doan and Sherry Jamieson, sister-in-laws Lisa Jordahl and her daughters Sydney and Morgyn, Kyla and Logan Downey and their children Evan, Emma and Rhett.
