Dear Linda and family,
I am very sad to hear that Laurence passed away in March. I grew up in Shaunavon and knew Laurence well as we both graduated in 1965 from Shaunavon High. I remember Laurence as a kind and thoughtful person. He enjoyed being out with his friends and was well-liked by everyone who knew him. I had a very nice visit with Laurence when he attended the 50th reunion of the Class of '65 in 2015. I remember that he always had a ready and quiet smile and know that he will be missed. Please accept my most sincere condolences.

I send my deepest saddens to Laurance’s family and close friends. I was a classmate. So happy to see him at our 50th High School Reunion in 2015 in Shaunavon. I too was born in Shaunavon and have many good memories of the area. I left there when I was 19. I shall remember the ‘good times’.

So sorry to hear of Laurence's passing.
One of my fondest memories is when he took me for a ride in his white Dodge convertible. I was quite young then and had never ridden in a convertible with the top down ... it was the coolest ride ever!!
We enjoyed having a nice visit with him a couple summers ago when he was in town for a family wedding.
You remain in our thoughts and prayers.

Deepest condolences to Linda and Family. Laurence and I grew up together with many fond memories...I remember we used to get off the school bus and run two miles every day - getting "in shape". We worked together at Goulet Trucking, and Laurence even came to Thompson, Manitoba to work when we were there. Even managed to accidentally meet up at Expo '86 and got to meet his family. Although we didn't see each other often after Laurence moved to Alberta, we remained friends and were able to get together again last summer in Dollard for a good last visit. He will be missed and fondly remembered by many.

Where to start. First to my co-worker (we worked in the Shanavon Hotel Bar), his wife Linda; You had a tuff start with some challenges, but with all the Dollard, Shanavon buddies, everything turned out amazing. Laurence (nicknamed "SAM"), was a great teacher in many hidden ways. I worked with he and his brothers at Goulet Trucking in Dollard since I was 14. We were at many late, fun party's and probably broke a few traffic violations on the way. I wish I could and would have stayed in touch, as all the Goulet family (I'm related - Henry was my uncle). To Linda and entire family "he would want to be roasted not sympathized for- , however, I DO send my warm condolences to all. My wife and I live in Kelowna BC.
Good-by "SAM"... Loved you immensely

I remember Laurence from growing up in Dollard. He sat behind me in school and often
pulled my hair.
However, he was also a gentleman and “saved” me from not so nice men at the local dances a time or two!
Those are my memories of Laurence. Sorry we didn’t see each other in the last many years. I am sure you will all miss him a great deal. Sorry for your loss, one of many cousins, Elise
