Evangelical Missionary Church Castor, Alberta Donations may be made to Paintearth Lodge or Our Lady of the Rosary Hospital Foundation Grace Mary (Graydon) Jackson was born to John and Bonnie Graydon in Lacombe AB on September 11, 1930 and passed away peacefully in Castor, AB on March 10, 2018 at the age of 87. Grace grew up in a large family with three brothers and five sisters. They spent lots of time at Gull Lake at the family cabin where they made many great memories. Grace graduated from Lacombe High School and then started working for the Bank of Montreal that took her to Castor. She met and married Howard Jackson January 29, 1955. They resided on his grandfather Joseph’s homestead for 53 years. To this union three children were born Randy, Greg and Shelley. Grace was very involved in the Paintearth community clubs and events including the Sewing Club, Community Centre and Gun Club. She enjoyed skiing, gardening and was a wonderful cook. Grace was an exemplary gardener and took great pride in her flowers and vegetables. Family was very important to her and she was a wonderful Mother and Mother-in- Law and an exceptional Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. Howard and Grace retired to the Paintearth Lodge in 2008 where she was very involved and made new friends. In 2017 she moved into Long Term Care at Our Lady of The Rosary. Grace will be remembered for her positive attitude and infectious smile. Grace is survived by her children Randy (Aileen), Greg (Shelly) and Shelley Jackson-Berry; grandchildren Carrie (Aaron) Compton, Jamie (Tyler) Patroch, Stacey(Alf) Beaudry, Marissa (Evan) Shipton, Tanya (Mark) Colbourne and Curtis (Kayla) Jackson; great-grandchildren Garrett, Colby and Axton Compton, Grayden and Qwynn Patroch, Rhys and Grayson Beaudry, Chase, Taegan and Chanelle Shipton, Avery, Noah and Aria Colbourne and Rachel Jackson. Sister Joyce Phipps, in-laws Ardeth Jackson, Marie Jackson, Gerald Cole and numerous nieces and nephews. Grace is predeceased by her husband Howard and son-in-law Jim Berry.
