Shirley and Family
Just wanted to drop you a note to say how sorry I was to hear of Don's passing. I worked with Don for twelve years on the Softball Alberta board of directors and came to learn of such a good man he was.
Don was always the voice of the youth and common sense. He was grassroots through and through and truly beleived that softball was the original game of summer.
I proudly remember the day that he was inducted into our Softball Alberta Hall of Fame as a sport builder. I have never seen a man so humble to receive an award that he so truly deserved. Don was a quiet man but when he spoke he spoke from the heart and was respectful of everyone's opinion, young and old.
Our sincrerest sympathy Shirley.

Dale and I attended the lovely service for our friend Don Emmett today. Don and I served the Paintearth Lodge and CDHA for many years together - he as the Board Chair. He was a strong mentor and I learned so much about diplomacy from Don. I didn't always use tact or diplomacy but at least I always knew what the 'high road' was from him. He was always a good 'boss' and put the Seniors first and foremost. The community, as well as his friends and family, have lost one of the good guys.
