Mrs. Henry, Carol and Garth,
I am so sorry to hearing about the passing of Mr. Henry. I remember all those days I spent at your house in Calgary with Janet with very fond memories. I know that both are re-united again. There are just not enough words to express how I feel. But I want you to know that I am sending love and my sincere condolences and tell you that Mr. Henry is pain free and will be waiting ........... with loving arms!!!

Thinking of You, Cecile, and Your Family,
Our sincere condolences, love and hugs, go out to you all.
I have fond memories when my family visited The Henry's in Sheregrove. There was always a happy and warm welcome from such a loving family. This tradition of close family ties continued in your family...a wonderful legacy.
Peace Be With You All,
Reena (Henry) & Dave Normandale

As a child you can never be expected to grasp the sacrifices and commitments your parents have made for you daily. You can never appreciate what they have given up or dreams they have forgotten to give you a life of opportunity and hope. Vergil gave up his first car (1957 ford meteor) to get a bigger car for his young family, moved away from his home and family (Sheregrove MB) to provide for his own family and help out his parents on the farm, spent months away from his young family building a career and lost his oldest daughter 1979 and wasn’t there to hold her hand one last time. To some, you measure a man by his wealth and others his accolades or degrees and others there achievements. For me its a special blend of integrity, honesty, loyalty, faith, commitment and honour that is the true separation of who a man is and what a man has done. At 84yrs Dad lost his battle to cancer which was a result of acid reflux...go figure, of everything else that could have taken his life it ends up being acid reflux due to silent heartburn..speechless. Vergil never really asked for a lot, a simply conversation or an afternoon visit to catch up and sometimes a strong back but that was very rare. During his final days he never let on that he was in pain or wanted to burden anyone with his condition or desperation, he simply wanted to live out his final days with the person that gave his life meaning...his wife of 58yrs. From your weekly calls to check in to your fatherly advice regarding all matters of life you will be missed and as that child who is now a man and also a father your shoes fit quite comfortably thanks to everything you’ve taught me over my life. Thank you dad and enjoy your next journey to wherever you roam and hope to see you riding that that brad new JD lawnmower you always wanted...love you always.
