Dear Addie family: You won't remember me but I feel compelled to write to you to express my deepest sympathy on the death of your Dad, Don Addie. I knew your Mom and Dad back in the mid-fifties as I used to baby sit Marian, Myron and Donna Marie. I lived in the trailer park in North Battleford with my brother and sister in law (Roy and Fern Berg). I believe your Mom and Dad went square dancing because I recall always looking forward to baby sitting for them as your Mom was dressed so beautifully when they went out. I completely lost touch with them but still remember them for the special people that they were. I do recall seeing your Mom's obituary and always intended to express my condolences to your Dad but never did so now I must rectify my negligence and tell you "children" what a lasting impression your parents left on me. I was only 15-16 at the time and was lonesome for my own parents because I had left home to go to NB to go to school. Your Mom and Dad were so good to me I just appreciated them so much for the wonderful people that they were. So please accept my deepest sympathy. I am sure you will have many great memories to hold on to as you adjust to life without both your parents. We know that we will all leave this earthly life sometime but it is still difficult to say "good-bye" to parents. It was great knowing them for the short time I did and they certainly left a lasting impression on me. I see Fred Caterall was a special friend of your Dad's and my daughter now works at Caterall & Wright so she knows Fred Caterall - just a little bit of irony there, although she only sees him at the Christmas gathering. Take care. Edith Carlson(Berg)

My deepest sympathy goes out to all the Addie family. Don was a wonderful person who I always enjoyed visiting with either in person, on line or telephone. My daughter, Janette was fortunate to have had him for a father-in-law. He now joins Iola, may they rest in peace. Love--Fran
