Obituary of Margaret Jane Merchant

Mrs. Margaret Jane Merchant passed away February 26, 2017 at the Castor Our Lady of the Rosary Hospital at the age of 87 years. Margaret was born in Gadsby to Archie and Martha McKay on April 27, 1929. Margaret is survived by her loving family: daughter Linda (Ray) Osetsky Kneeland of Donalda; sons: Ross (Sasha) Merchant of Oliver, BC and Neil (Terri) Merchant of Penticton, BC; six grandchildren: Donald (Kris), Dale (Krysta), Karen (Glenn), Ashley, Daneca (Steven) and Justin; great grandchildren: Gibson, Deacon, Hannah and Avery; sisters in law Sheila (Archie) Brown of Brownfield and Blanche McKay of Stettler; brother in law Dale Merchant (Beth) of Lethbridge; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Margaret was predeceased by her parents, her husband Donald, son Allan, son in law Greg Osetsky, granddaughter Jessica and the Merchant and McKay family members that have gone on before. Donations may be made to Trinity United Church, Coronation Cemetery or a local charity of your own choice.
