Obituary of Peter John Dammann

He attended school at Merna and Killam, farmed with his father and then realized his dream of owning a big truck. He started his own family trucking business, P&D Trucking Ltd. In his retirement he drove school bus and farmed.
He married Diane Burke in 1971 and became an instant father to David, Deborah and Daniel. Douglas was born 1972 and Dixie in 1974.
He was predeceased by his parents and son David and sister Eleanor son-in-law Stan Szoke. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 45 years, Diane, daughters Deborah Szoke, and Dixie Streicher (Aaron) sons Daniel (Lorene) and Douglas (Alanna) sister Brenda Oancia (Jim) grandchildren, Candice, Chad, Steven, Katilyn, Jesse, Amy and Emily, Jim, four great grandchildren and many acquired grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends will miss him.
His love of animals, especially cats, was well know. He initiated a family tradition of camping on an island on Elinor Lake that carried on for many years
He passed away December 6, at Our Lady of Rosary Hospital in Castor after a brief illness.
