Obituary of Alvin Carl Bishell

Mr. Alvin Carl Bishell passed away peacefully in the Consort Long Term Care Facility on Friday, September 30, 2016 at the age of 102 years. Alvin is survived by his children; Glenn (Alice) of Carstairs, Joan (Ian) Greig of Calgary, Elaine Gibbs of Calgary, Calvin (Judy) of Veteran, Sharmaine (Pete) Friesen of Colinton, and Marianne (Keith) McKee of Edmonton; grandchildren Karen (Wayne) and their children Austin, Lindsay (Dallas), Lorne (Theresa) and their son Ryan, Marilyn (Mike) and their daughter Erin, Doug (Yolanda), Joanne (Jason) and their children Braeden and Kaeleigh, Wanda (Rick), Frank, Angela (Curtis) and children Logan and Callum, Steve (Shanna) and their children Emily, Kegan and Nathan, Jason (Jody) and their children Jaxon, Jenna and Jonathan, Trevor (Chrissy) and their children Katie and Nash, Jeffrey, Ocalla (Brennan) and their children Seth and Carter, Jessie (Chris), Travis (Ceanna); sisters Edith Smiley of Athabasca, Joyce Knudson of Consort and Ruth Oswald of Leduc; other family and many dear friends. Alvin is predeceased by his wife Arlene in 2005; parents Walter and Ocalla; brother Verne (Helen); sisters Frances (Melvin) Bakken, Velma Bishell; brothers in law Jim Smiley, Bud Knudson, Jack Shier and Walter Oswald; son in law Myron Gibbs. Funeral Services will be held at Veteran Community Hall on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 1:00 PM. Donations in memory of Alvin may be made to the Veteran United Church or to the Consort & District Seniors Association.
