Obituary of Vernon Murray Clark

Please share a memory of Vernon to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Vernon Murray Clark was born to Lawrence and Mildred Clark on February 2, 1935 in Coronation, Alberta. He was the last born of 5 brothers (all deceased) Earl, Lester, Lloyd and Ken. Predeceased by his first wife Myra, he leaves behind a significant group: his second wife Evelyn, his 2 sons Robert and Barry and the two new family lines brought by his wife and son Robert’s marriage. Evelyn brings her children and spouses: (Peggy & Browne, John & Debbie, Vivianne & Rob and Dwight & Tracey) with numerous children and their offspring. Additionally Robert’s wife Helena brings her children through to great grandchildren into the Clark family group. Vernon’s union combined with his son Robert’s form a new family lineage that made Vernon grandfather, great grandfather and even double great grandfather. Beyond the family tree Vernon’s life transitioned from country to city life in both Edmonton and Calgary but his work kept him mobile near and far around Canada and in the latter years more specifically in southern Alberta. His greatest employer Mobile Augers saw him transition from operator based in Edmonton to pioneer Manager in Calgary with a number of drilling rigs under his care and direction. His first step in retirement was back to his roots in Coronation. After his contributions there he opted to move to Camrose to a maintenance free lifestyle in apartment type lodging. His passing was rapid in the care of the Camrose St. Mary’s Hospital on May 10, 2016. We would like to thank the staff at the St. Mary’s Hospital in Camrose for their care and attention. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC). Join us for a luncheon celebration of Vernon’s life at the Drop In Centre, Coronation, Alberta Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 1:00 PM.
