Obituary of George Renschler

Please share a memory of George to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
George Renschler passed away at the age of 82 in Our Lady of the Rosary Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 2, 1934 in Castor, Alberta where he lived much of his life most comfortable in a small town. George was a hard working truck driver who was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He was an avid outdoorsman who was happiest hunting and fishing and loved telling stories that were enhanced by his numerous facial expressions and great sense of humour. He spent the majority of his time divided between hunting and fishing trips with close friends and family and the various events at the Castor Trapshooting Club where he was a lifetime member. He also travelled to over 30 communities in the gun show circuit, enjoying the company of others that shared this interest with him. Although a bit of a lone wolf (his words), his daily coffee ritual was as important to him as the people he enjoyed it with, especially in his later years. George is predeceased by his brothers Carl, Lawrence, Stuart and Leo. He will be dearly missed by his three daughters: Judy McPherson, Sandie Renschler and Lisa Renschler (Darryl); and his grandchildren: Emily, Tyler and Darian; brother Howard and family, sister Joyce and family and all those whose lives he touched. Memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
