I was very saddened to learn of Louis' passing. Some of my fondest memories growing up are from when the Cote clan visited Gramma. Mention of Lou's "booming laugh and bigger than life personality" brought the memories closer and made it seem like yesterday. Our thoughts are with you all. To the Cote Family: Very sorry to hear of your loss ...I grew up with the Cote family in Medicine Hat and remember when Louis' dad Ted built their house across from ours on Second St Riverside...What a great family and between all the Cote (Ed was closer to my age) kids and a few of us other kids on Riverside we always had enough kids to make up a team or have a great snow ball fight....I work part-time in my retirement for insurance companies and the other day had to take pics of the Cote home on 2nd Street for insurance and was telling the new young buyers that I knew the man who built the house and also grew-up knowing all the kids. They have renovated the house and it really looks good. Please express Carol and my condolences to the whole Cote family on your loss

Sending our deepest condolences and daily prayers during this difficult time. Lou was a very kind man and for those who were blessed to meet him and then get to really know him were truly blessed. He loved life and family and was always willing to help others. During the years we lived in Redwater it was Lou and Ruth who helped make life better as we were just newly married. Many memories and many good times will forever be remembered by us. We are so sorry for your loss Ruth, Susan, Jennifer, Edith, Ted and Teresa. Lou may be gone but his spirit will always be with you and no doubt guide you all.
Also sending sympathies to all of Lou's extended families as well.

To Edi and family,
I am so sorry for your huge loss. I have had a number of occasions to spend time with Lou, most recently in New Zealand at Jessica's wedding. Lou always exuded warmth and kindness and made me feel welcome at every gathering from Thanksgiving dinners to his Grand-daughter's wedding. Lou really stood out as a special person and his lovely qualities have been central to creating such a wonderful family.
Please know my thoughts are with all of you during this very sad time.

To Teresa / Arjan and all of your family
We are sad to hear of this news. I remember the few times that I met your Dad of having good visits with a man who was interested in the world. It was also apparent that he felt great pride in his children and what they were up to. We'll be keeping you in our prayers.
