Obituary of Mary Isabel Zimmer

Mary Isabel Zimmer (Murphy) passed into her beloved Lord’s arms for her journey home, at Our Lady of the Rosary Hospital Extended Care, Castor, Alberta, on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at the age of 96 years. Isabel was born November 6, 1918 at Kerrobert, Saskatchewan, oldest child of Fred and Frances Murphy. Isabel is survived by sons: Harold (Eleanor) of Calgary, Larry (Ann) of Rocky Mountain House, Fred (Trudy) of Brooks; daughters: Margaret (Fred) Carbonneau of Edmonton, Bernadette (Roger) Felzien of Edmonton, Virginia (Blair) Johnson of Drayton Valley, Brenda Martin of Coaldale; daughters in law: Irene of Red Deer, Dolly of Edmonton, Rose of Castor, Debbie of Regina; son in law Gerry Johnson of Picture Butte. She is also survived by sisters: Josephine (Wilfred) Frechette of Kenaston, Mildred Ouellette of Lethbridge, Madge (Peter) Doshen of North Battleford, Sister Irene of Ontario; brothers: Bud (Bernice) of Kerrobert, Dennis (Helen) of Kerrobert; sisters in law: Bev Murphy of Kerrobert, Irene of Kerrobert and Helen Korol of Saskatoon; 32 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Isabel was predeceased by her parents Fred and Frances Murphy; husband Henry (Harry); sons: David, Carl, Ken, Terry and Brian; daughter Frances; daughter in law Lorraine; grandsons Edward and Ken; sister Hetty Ouellette; brothers Wilfred and Patrick; as well as numerous brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews.
