Mrs. Ruth Christiansen passed away in Our Lady of the Rosary Hospital, Castor, Alberta on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at the age of 94 years. Predeceased by her parents, son Dean in 1984; husband Jess in 1988; son David in 2007; daughter in law Dorothy in 2006; sister Alta (Elwood) Smith in 2014; brothers Barnard Peters and Ed Peters; brother in law Lester Payton; brother in law Tom Windross in 1997; grandson Marty in 2014; Ruth is survived by her son Howard (Judy) of Pincher Creek; daughter in law Betty of of Edmonton; grandchildren Connie (Brian) Burkart, Douglas (Candace), Steven (Maureen), Darcy (Joanne), Roxann (George) Nathanail, Anita (John) Hodgins, Donna Christiansen; great grandchildren Jessica Burkart, Lucas Burkart, Brieanne Christiansen, Veronica (Nathan) Zdrodowski, Dan Nathanail, Stephanie Nathanail, Kaitlyn Christiansen, Jeffrey Christiansen, Stuart (Janelle Dickie), Amanda Nathaniel, Carlie Hodgins, Claudia Hodgins and Christina Briggs, Russell Christiansen, Jocelyn Christiansen, Donna Christiansen, Pride Dawson, Jenna Christiansen, Megan Christiansen and Landen Christiansen; great great grandchildren: Jaxson Wicks, Melody Christiansen, Hellen Briggs, and Dean Briggs; granddaughter in law Darlene; sisters Violet Windross and Ethel Payton; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 2:00 PM in Knox United Church, Castor, Alberta with Rev. Barbara Zimmerman officiating.
