Obituary of Eleanore Servonnet

ELEANORE (HECK) SERVONNET 1932-2013 A KIND SPIRIT WITH A LOVING AND CARING HEART It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear mother, mother-in-law, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. Eleanore was born March 23, 1932, on a farm west of Mendham, Saskatchewan to parents Christian and Katherine Heck. She spent her younger years and twenties in the Mendham area, helping raise younger siblings and providing quality child care to many families in the area. She was a Ward Aide in the Prelate, Saskatchewan Hospital before moving to Calgary. That is where she met and in 1967, married her husband of 22 years. From 1973, until her passing away on her farm near Scapa on October 29, 2013, she spent many years dedicating her life to the farm, her animals and raising her children. She also proudly adored her 10 grandchildren. She leaves behind four children: son-Daniel (Tania) Servonnet, their children Dayton and Amy; daughters-Katherine (Raymond) Heilman, their children Christian, Anthony and Elizabeth; Marguerite (Kerry) Tennant, their children Joshua, Aleah, and Logan; Geraldine (Ken) Fleming and their children Victoria and Kalan. She is also survived by her siblings, Marie (Al) Hoolaeff, Elizabeth Zielbauer, Ann Williams, Ed (Betty) Heck, Peter Heck and Bernadette (Chuck) Gutfriend, and an aunt Frieda Heck, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Martial Servonnet, her parents Christian and Katherine Heck, her sister Rose Thomsen, and brother Mathew Heck. Prayers will be held Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 5:00 PM and Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, November 8, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Castor, Alberta. Interment will take place at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery with luncheon to follow at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Alberta Breast Cancer Foundation, STARS, or Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation.
