PERREAULT – It is with great sadness that the family of Wilma May Perreault announces her passing on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Our Lady of the Rosary Hospital in Castor, Alberta. She was devoted to her family and will be greatly missed. Wilma was born in Galahad, Alberta on March 14, 1923. She grew up on the family farm north of Galahad, Alberta where at an early age learned to work hard. She obtained her education in Galahad and in the Colchester School near Edmonton, where her parents moved to escape the end of the 1930’s drought years. In September 1941 she married Gene Perreault. Born to this union were seven children. Wilma loved life on the family farm near Bulwark, Alberta devoting much of her time to raising the family. In 1974 she moved into Castor, Alberta where she retired. Predeceased by her husband Gene Perreault in 1973; her parents, Charles and Mabel Wiseman, and two brothers, Orville and Melvin Wiseman; one great grandson and one nephew; Wilma is survived by her children Ken Perreault, Sharon (Frank) Hoffart, Jeannette (John) Forrest, Robert (Sandra) Perreault, Audrey (Gary) Fuller, Brenda (Chuck) Wiart and Donna (Bill) Weseen. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. Wilma also leaves to mourn her sisters in law, Violet Wiseman, Doris and Arlene Perreault; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Family and friends are cordially invited to join the family in the Castor Community Hall on Monday, August 27, 2012, commencing at 2:00 PM to help us all in this time of remembrance and celebration of Wilma’s life. A private interment by the family has taken place in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Cemetery in Castor, Alberta. Memorial donations may be made to the Paintearth Lodge or to Our Lady of the Rosary Hospital Foundation c/o Parkview Funeral Chapels, Box 186, Castor, AB, T0C 0X0.
