Obituary of Kenneth Brian Morie
Please share a memory of Kenneth to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Kenneth Brian Morie was born on March 7, 1954 in Stettler, Alberta. He left this world too soon in Edmonton on August 9, 2012. He spent his preschool years in Bulwark until the Mories moved to Castor in 1960. Brian enjoyed every kind of sport and it was during this time that he developed a love of music. He graduated from high school in 1972 and moved to Red Deer. After trying a variety of jobs he discovered his talent for photography and he never lost his creative eye. His son Jason was born there and some years later a daughter, Amanda. His photography career took him to Edmonton where his youngest daughter, Tamara was born. He loved his children with all his heart and soul. His natural talent turned to wood working and the crafting of beautiful furniture.
Brian is survived by his parents Sam and Helen Morie; three sisters Beverly Morie, Becky (Trevor) Blumhagen and Monica Morie; three children Jason Morie, Amanda Morie and Tamara Morie; two grandchildren Taylor and Joshua; as well as many loved aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered.
A celebration of Brian’s life will be held at Castor Legion Hall, Castor, Alberta on Sunday, August 19, 2012 at 2:00 PM. Memorial donations may be made in his name to the Edmonton Public Library or Alberta Cancer Foundation.
