Verna Mabel Haeberle Dunkle was born to Mabel and James Haeberle on the family farm north of Halkirk Alberta on October 1, 1917 and passed away at the Our Lady of the Rosary Extendicare in Castor Alberta on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 94 years of age.
She is survived by her children Cheryl Kolbuc of Edmonton and Dale (Kimberley) Dunkle of Castor and daughter-in-law Wendy Dunkle of Castor; four grandchildren Lisa Kolbuc, Jeff (Barbara) Kolbuc, Dwayne (Deanna) Dunkle and Ange (Rob) Christensen; five great-grandchildren Jenessa, Darien, Sawyer, Malea, Eli; brothers Roy and Jack (Shirley) Haeberle; sister Beth (Paul) Thibault, sister-in-law Ina Dunkle and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Verna was predeceased by her husband Lawrence in January 1989, her son Doug in October 2011, son-in law Ted Kolbuc in 1979, sisters Etta, Stella, Dorothy; brothers Archie, Douglas (Dode), Melvin and many extended family members.
