Donna,
I just heard of Jakes passing from Deana, I'm so very sorry for your loss; Jake was one of a kind. I worked with Jake at Peavey and was so glad to have a nice visit with him at Rick's memorial, after 30 years it was like we picked up in conversation where we just left off.
You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
God Bless

Jake will always be someone that I will think of with a great amount of respect. He was a huge personality and even more, he was a great human being! I always enjoyed his stories and the belief he had in others. Back in the day As a young official in another zone he took the time to get to know everyone regardless of where you were from. As our former Chairman he always had time to see how you were doing. I shared a story with Guy D. the other night after hearing of Jake's passing. Guy D. shared his own story of Jake as well. I guess the greatest compliment to Jake was another official in the room said 'I wish I would have had a chance to know him'. I think that says it all. Rest in peace Jake, respectfully, Rob Eisenbart

My sincerest condolences to you Donna, Terine, Penny, & Families on this tragic loss in your world. John was such a "Bear" of a man. My memory of him backing into the fridge opening and then walking upstairs from the basement with the fridge on his back always brings me laughter. He always had a smile and was quick with his jokes and making sure everyone knew all about "slam door". He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. "He was larger than Life" Now that he has left this life may all the Beautiful and happy memories surround you and the girls as you continue on Life's Journey. Please accept my Sympathy and Remember me if you need anything or just need to talk.
Love Debra 780-587-5223

I was so sorry to hear of Jake's passing. I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Jake at Peavey Industries for several years. He always had a big grin on his face every day and had the heart of an angel. His kindness and generosity was challenged by no one. Jake will be remembered and missed by so many people who had the good fortune to know him. RIP Dear Jake...I will never forget you my Friend

Oh, Donna. George and I are so sad to hear this news. Of course, we remembered all those hockey AGM’s and the fun we had.
And, the visits in the Drumheller arena.
Family, hockey, referees and pheasants were his love!!
You and your family are in our thoughts.

Our sincerest condolences to Donna, Terine, Penny, & extended families for your loss. I first met Jake early in my career and I will always appreciate how he treated me with respect and a peer at a time when he was a Buyer for Peavey and very well established in his career. I will treasure the past several years that I got to work with Jake, the jokes, playing crib, and the friendship I had with him. He has been so involved in the community, Hockey Alberta, golf, and bowling, that I think is an example of how giving and how many Lives Jake has touched, and a profound example to others on Teamwork and giving back. On behalf of myself and all of our staff from Stettler Peaveymart you will be greatly missed.
