Obituary of Elaine Marie Heidecker

Elaine M. Heidecker, age 74, passed away peacefully March 9th, 2019, in the arms of her loving family at South Health Campus, Calgary, AB. Elaine was born March 13th, 1944 in Vancouver B.C. to parents Herman and Alice Heidecker, but lived most of her youth in Castor, AB. She will always be remembered for her kind heart and generous nature. Elaine loved to sew in the winters and spent most of the summer in the garden. She was always a soft place to land for her children and grandchildren and loved being the family hub, she always knew where everyone was and what they were up to. Elaine’s family gatherings involved a great meal and lots of laughter, her potato salad was famous. Elaine was instrumental in her eldest daughters’ business for many years and was a favorite with the clients. Elaine requested there be no funeral, instead Elaine’s children celebrated her life with a 75th birthday party. Elaine will rest eternally in the Field of Honour in the Castor Legion Cemetery, Castor, AB. Elaine is survived by her children, Anne (Michael) Dale, Harry, Tina (Kim) Wicks; grandchildren Adam, Jesse, Jenny and Mitchel; brother Barry of Castor and sister Linda (Dale) Guse of Talbot.
