It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Stanley Lincoln Collier, surrounded by his loving family in Castor, Alberta on March 8, 2026 at 96 years of age.

Stan is survived by his brother Bob Collier (Carollyne); his 4 children Laurie Higgins (Charlie), Kelly Collier (Wendy), Craig Collier and Maureen Hardie (Don). Stan was born in Calgary, AB and raised in the Bulwark area; built a home in Castor, married Sheila in 1953, started a family in 1955 to 1965. He started off with a watch repair business that he built into 3 successful jewelry & giftware stores in Castor, Dawson Creek, BC and Fort St. John, BC. He was a highly respected member of the Castor Community active on many boards.

Stan was a pilot, a hunter, an entrepreneur with a vast wealth of knowledge. Music was a big part of his life and he enjoyed many recreational activities including golf, slo-pitch and watersports. He had a great love of animals. His family meant the world to him, he was a wonderful provider, mentor and friend, always there for each of us.

The family has nothing but heartfelt thanks for the compassionate staff at the Castor Hospital. Special thanks to Ed Manz for his unwavering support and to all of those who helped Stan in his later years.

At Stan’s request there will be a Private Family Service
