I remember Don as my Grade 6 teacher back in 93-94. A common Donism of the time was, “it’s time to separate the contenders from the pretenders”. Still sticks with me to this day :) May you rest in peace Don.

Bev and family. So sad to hear about Donnie's passing. I have many great memories of my teenage years with Donnie & Dougie. Somehow or other I had the great fortune to be their left winger. Donnie was always so calm, thoughtful and supportive. I reflect often on those years with the hockey games, trips & tournaments, track & field, and Buffalo Lake adventures.

My deepest condolences to the family especially Bev and the children. Don was my roommate at U of A in my first year and basically got me through the year in one piece. Of course we were friends before that and forever, including standing up for me at my wedding. Although we lost contact over the years I will always cherish the many memories I have from the time we spent closely together.

My dear friend Bev, sending you and your family our deepest condolences across the miles. Don will always be to us as the second biggest fan of the Montreal Canadiens, I know second, sorry Don my brother is first , lol. Hockey was his favorite sport, but he loved to always bug me about being a Saskatchewan Roughrider fan, and cheer for any other team when they played against the Riders. “ He would say, so your Riders lost again heh?” Loved the goal light on top of your tv at your house, a great addition for a hockey loving family. Rest in Peace Don and for being a good friend all those years in Stettler. hugs to Bev, Codey, Kyle, Becky and Jordan and your families.
