Obituary of Wayne Kensey Ward

1953 - 2025

It is with great sadness our family announces the passing of husband, father and grandfather Wayne Ward on August 16, 2025 in Alliance, Alberta, at the age of 71 years. Wayne is survived by his loving wife of almost 49 years Barb, his daughter Anitra, his son-in-law Jeff and his two grandchildren Liam and Aiden. He is also survived by his siblings Fran, Alberta, Steve (Vivian) and Gord (Debbie), along with many nephews and nieces. He is predeceased by his Father Charles, his mother Margaret, his brother Raymond and his niece October.

Wayne was born in Newmarket Ontario, and after marrying Barb, eventually moved his family to Jasper Alberta, where he enjoyed a vast array of the beautiful nature there. He loved hunting, fishing and enjoyed his yearly hunting trips with his father and brother. Wayne was also a very passionate guitar player and loved playing for everyone any chance he got.

Wayne passed away peacefully at his home. He will be forever missed..

In honoring Wayne’s wishes no formal funeral service will be held.
