Rose Mary Lincoln

1931 ~ 2025

Rose Mary Lincoln of Stettler, Alberta, beloved mother, sister and aunt, passed away peacefully in Edmonton, Alberta on July 27, 2025 at the age of 93 years.

Rose was a resident of Stettler for over 70 years. She was a long-time member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion and the United Church where she made her lifelong friends. She and her friends Eunice Chapman and Merlie Blaney provided burgers and fries at the skating rink for twenty-five years.

Rose loved to garden and make floral arrangements. She enjoyed outings with the Red Hats and had fun creating her beautiful floral hats. She and Eunice enjoyed caring for the plants at the Stettler Hospital Atrium for many years. She was an excellent cook, baker and seamstress. She was a great help to her friends and neighbours. Rose and Roy greatly enjoyed their many travels.

She moved to Edmonton to live with Ava and for the past two years lived at a dementia care residence.  She made friends easily there and loved to win Kit Kat chocolate bars while playing Bingo.

She will be remembered for her kind heart, generous volunteer spirit and loving care for her immediate and extended family.

Rose was predeceased by, Roy, her husband of fifty-nine years; their beloved son, Murray and her sister, Mae Blaus of Victoria.

Rose is lovingly remembered by her sister Frances Hallet; daughters Ava and Kathy; son-in-law Bill Calvert; nieces, nephews and their children as well as her many wonderful friends.
