Obituary of Debra Lynn Shauer

Debra “Debbie” Shauer passed away on July 8, 2025, at the age of 62 in a tragic motor vehicle accident.

She was born on September 6, 1962, in Castor, Alberta, and spent her entire life in Central Alberta.

Debbie was well known in the Stettler community, having worked for many years as a bakery manager and home care attendant to support her beloved son. She loved spending time outdoors fishing, baking for friends and family, and cheering on her son Dustin at his football and soccer games. Known for her generous spirit, Debbie took great joy in giving gifts and always sent thoughtful, personalized cards for every occasion.

She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and her love for all creatures, great and small.

Debbie is survived by her son Dustin Shauer (Lisa); grandchildren Arianna and Ryan Shauer; sisters Brenda Larkin and Cheryl Fortier (Kevin); brother Dwayne Dell (Kristin); and nieces and nephew Sabrina Wilson (Aaron), Stephanie Fortier, Tamara Newhouse (Ryan), Keegan and Brooke Dell.

Debbie was predeceased by her mother Erica Harrow and ex-husband Stuart Shauer.
