It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Karen Joy Vinet who passed on June 9, 2025, at the age of 64.

Karen was a cherished mom, grandma, daughter, sister, aunty, friend, and partner, who lived with passion, courage, and fearlessness. She had the rare ability for making everyone feel welcomed, valued, and loved. Her presence was truly a gift, and her legacy of kindness, resilience, and love will live on in all who had the privilege of knowing her.    

Karen’s heart always belonged at the lake, where she found immense joy spending time with all her loved ones—boating, snowmobiling, golfing, and visiting. We know her spirit will live on at the lake—in every gathering, every laugh, and every moment shared with those she loved.

Karen is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Kaitlin (Darren) and Courtney (Nicole), and granddaughter, Remi, who were her world and brought her endless joy. She is also remembered by her mother, Dorothy; her brothers Greg (Judy) and Kevin (Susan); her partner, Bryan; and her dog, Cooper. She was also a proud and loving aunty to many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her beloved son, Graden Vinet; her father, Keith Stewart; and her dog, Abby. We take comfort in knowing they are together again.

Karen will be missed beyond words, but her love, laughter, and light will stay with us forever.

 remembering and celebrating her.
