Dorothy Darlene Nemetz (Cox)

1948 ~ 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the departure of Dorothy Darlene Nemetz, who passed away in Stettler, Alberta on April 12^th, 2025. Darlene was born on December 23^rd, 1948, and she married Arthur Chester Nemetz late in 1968, after completing her nursing training on September 16^th, 1968. Darlene and Art had three sons during their union Arthur (Dean), Stacy, Anthony, and seven grandchildren.

Darlene was a loving wife and mother and worked as a nurse with the Stettler Hospital for over 27 years and followed by nine years as a home care nurse.

Darlene leaves behind her children Stacy Nemetz (Joy), Hailee, Karl, Anthony Nemetz (Anna) Téa, Oscar and her grandchildren Riley Nemetz, Ruby Nemetz and Cooper Nemetz; sisters and brothers; Doreen Knopp (Ed), Carol Oatway (Lional), Fran Cox, Tom Cox (Kathy), John Cox (Antonia) and Earl Cox.

Darlene was predeceased by her mother Dorothy Cox; father Thomas Cox; beloved sister Joan Keenan (Terry); brother Harold Cox (Gayle); loving husband Arthur Nemetz; and son Dean Nemetz (Jody).

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Stettler Funeral Home, Stettler, Alberta.    In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Stettler Hospice Society, Box 880, Stettler, Alberta T0C 2L0 are appreciated.
