Ronald Thomas Symes of Stettler, AB peacefully passed away in his home on March 12, 2025 at the age of 69 years.

He is survived by his daughters Julie (Henry) Symes of Stettler, AB and Teressa Symes of Canmore, AB; mother of his children Karen Symes of Stettler, AB; father Al Horton of Erskine, AB; sisters Cindy (Barry) Dietzen of Valleyview, AB and Darla (Stan) Symes of Tangent, AB; brother Greg (Dana) Symes of Red Deer, AB; treasured friend Judi LaRose of Stettler, AB; step children Amy (John) Blomquist of Big Valley, AB; Sarah LaRose of Woodstock, NB; grandchildren Wes, Jake, Chloe, Kasie, Richard, Cody and Braedon; nephew Riley (Nicole) Ross and sons Liam, Brennan and Lachlan of Stettler, AB; niece  Trina (Mike) Gould and their children Madi, Declan and Nicolas of Red Deer, AB; niece Alissa (Chad) Brown of Fort Saskatchewan, AB;  niece Patricia (Jordan) Unreiner and their children of Calgary, AB; niece Courtney (Luke) Nygren and their children of Springbrook, AB;   as well as numerous other relatives and a host of wonderful friends.

Ron was predeceased by his parents Tom Symes and Donna Horton; sister Deb Symes; grandparents Lindsey & Ella Gordon; aunt Eunice Larson; uncles Gene & Spike Symes and hunting buddy John Pivthoran.
