Allan Patrick Steinhoff

November 19,1934 - March 5, 2025

Allan Patrick Steinhoff, fondly known as “Al" passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on March 5,  2025 at Stettler, AB.   He was born on November 19, 1934 in Stettler, AB to Ernest and Verlie Steinhoff. Allan lived a very full life as a caring son, a devoted husband, a supportive and nurturing father and a doting Grandpa & Great-grandpa. He was a very respected member of his communities in Donalda & Stettler. Allan was raised during the depression which helped shape him to be hard working, pragmatic and easily able to find the joy and laughter in life. He was a Businessman from the age of 19 until he took over the family farm at age 40. Allan farmed for 20 years and always had a business project on the go at the same time in addition to his favourite hobbies - woodworking and travelling! After moving to Stettler in 2000 for his full retirement, he still enjoyed his woodworking as well as building and maintaining a beautiful flower garden together with his wife Shirley. When not in the garden he was doting on his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Allan is pre-deceased by his parents: Verlie (Fitzpatrick) and Ernest Steinhoff of Donalda, his beloved wife Shirley Louise (Ross).

He leaves behind 3 wonderful children to cherish his memory; Bradley Steinhoff, Beverley (Vittorio) Steinhoff, Sandra (Arild) Steinhoff; 4 grandchildren: Janine (Trevor), Bailey (Doug), Ashling (Garrett), and Nikolai; 2 great granddaughters: Josie & Haisley, as well as many cousins, in-laws, and a heart full of friends.

Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 2:00 P.M.

A reception will follow to reminisce, toast and tell stories about Allan.

The family would like to send a special thanks to all the wonderful staff at Paragon Place and Stettler Home Care Services for their devoted care and attention to Dad over the last 2 years.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Donalda Cemetery Club or spend some time with family making beautiful memories.
