Norma Lucelle Weisse

1925 - 2025

Norma Lucelle Weisse (Lumsden) of Red Deer, beloved wife of the late Mr. Richard Weisse passed away peacefully at The Hamlets, Red Deer, Alberta on January 30, 2025 at the age of 99 years.

Norma was born on December 29, 1925 at Hanna, Alberta and was raised on the family farm in the Solon District.

Norma and Richard were married on May 3, 1947 and lived in Calgary until moving to the farm at Olds in 1959. They then moved to Rumsey to farm in 1974 and retired to Stettler in 2000. They also had a house for many years at Shuswap Lake which Norma enjoyed immensely.

Gardening, knitting and indoor plants kept her busy; she could grow anything! Norma lived in her home in Stettler until April 2023 at which time she moved to the Hamlets.

Norma is survived by daughter Leone Kiemele (Ron); sons Warren Weisse (Elaine) and Aaron Weisse (Karen); grandchildren:  Karen Unterschultz (Derk), Eric Weisse, Paul Weisse (Karen) and Logan Kiemele (Lee); thirteen great grandchildren:  Ethan, Markus, Grayson, Dayne, Parker, Carson, Colby, Everleigh, Natalie, Jace, Taya, Brynn and Ellery; as well as numerous other relatives and many dear friends.

Norma is predeceased by husband Richard; parents Bill and Evelyn Lumsden; son Owen; brothers Wilf, Jim and Keith and sister Merle.

A Graveside Service will be held

in the Summer of 2025.
